The School of Life Sciences has embarked on a fund raising initiative, the aim of which is to secure enough money to fund three postgraduate studentships.
Although the number of Research Groups in the School of Life Sciences continues to grow, the number of PhD studentships funded by the UK Government has remained static for many years. We believe that many of our former undergraduate and postgraduate students will be interested in contributing to a scheme that will enable more students to be trained in their Alma Mater.
Our initial target is modest, namely to raise enough money to support three additional studentships, and this will be possible if a substantial number of Alumni contribute just £10 a month for life, via the gift aid scheme. Although the scheme has only been in operation for a very short time, a number of alumni have already made generous contributions. If you feel able to gift the suggested amount or would prefer to make a "one off' donation, please download the forms
