Dr Lynskey is a Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellow working on the important human pathogen Group A streptococcus (GAS). After completing her PhD at Imperial College London with Prof Shiranee Sriskandan, she was awarded an MRC Centenary Early Career award to investigate the role of the lymphatics as a conduit for bacterial dissemination in collaboration with Prof David Jackson at the Weatherall Instititue of Molecular Medicine, Oxford University. She is currently based in the lab of Prof Michael Wessels at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where she is researching mechanisms of gene regulation and pathogenesis of Group A streptococcus.
