ALL WELCOME
During development, embryos and tissues undergo dramatic changes in shape before reaching their final form. We use a combination of live imaging, biophysical and optogenetic approaches in Drosophila to study how force generation by cells influences tissue shape and how force generation in tissues is orchestrated through intercellular signaling. In this seminar, I will highlight recent work identifying mechanisms of epithelial fold formation involving pulsatile flows of the actin cytoskeleton and modulations of the extracellular matrix.ALL WELCOME
