Professor Frank Sargent, Royal Society University Research Fellow and Professor of Bacterial Physiology, Division of Molecular Microbiology has been awarded the College of Life Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award. These awards are designed to recognise staff achievements in excellence in learning and teaching. Two awards are available each year - Innovation in Teaching Award and Excellence in Teaching Award and it is the Excellence in Teaching that has been awarded to Professor Sargent.
Professor Sargent was nominated by a group of undergraduates with the support of the Senior Management of the College of Life Sciences. Professor Sargent's name will now go forward to the University-wide competition for the "Senate Award for Excellence in Teaching".
