Gerhard May has been named the "Best Teacher for Assessment and Feedback" in the recent DUSA "Inspire" student-led teaching awards.
Dean of the School of Learning and Teaching David Coates said, “There is no doubt that this kind of award is recognising excellence in learning and teaching, and Gerhard should be justly proud of his success.”
Two other members of the College of Life Sciences, Xanthe Mallett and Craig Cunningham, were also short-listed for awards, making the total number of Life Sciences nominees the highest from any School in the University.
Professor Sue Black, Director of the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification said, “There were initially 200 nominations so to have three members of staff from the School in the final nine is tremendous - and then to win as well! Absolutely brilliant! Well done to all.”
