Alessio Ciulli has received the award for Research and Innovation in the newly established "Talented Young Italians Awards” at an event organised at the Church House in London by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK in collaboration with the Italian Embassy of London.
This new and prestigious award aims to bring to public attention the successful UK based Italian nationals while maintaining links with Italy and fostering exchanges between the two countries.
Other award winners include Barbara Serra, famous Italian-born British-based broadcast journalist and TV newsreader, currently working for Al Jazeera English, and Ferdinando Giugliano, the Global Economy News Editor for The Financial Times.
Dean of Research at the College of Life Sciences, Professor Julian Blow said, “My warmest congratulations to Alessio on receiving this much-deserved award. His work - and this recognition - emphasise that research and innovation in life sciences is an international endeavor and that our talented pool of international scientists help raise Dundee’s profile in a wider cultural and economic arena.”
