28 May 2015

Nicola Stanley-Wall has been named as this year’s recipient of the W. H. Pierce Prize from the Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM). This prestigious prize is awarded annually at the SfAM Summer Conference to a microbiologist under the age of 40 who has made a substantial contribution to the science of applied microbiology.

The award was instituted in 1984 by the directors of Oxoid to commemorate the life and works of the late William H Pierce, former Chief Bacteriologist of Oxo Ltd and a long-time member of the Society.
