Kim Dale named Best Postgraduate Supervisor in Student Led Teaching Awards

17 May 2018

Last Friday, the Dundee University Student Association (DUSA) celebrated the lecturers who help make our university one of the best in the world, at their annual Student Led Teaching Awards (SLTA).

Kim Dale from the School was named Best Postgraduate Supervisor after being shortlisted for the second year in a row. “I am so touched to have been nominated by two of my PhD students, Lucas Morales Moya and Francesca Carrieri, as they both know it is one of the parts I love most about my job,” said Kim.

The 2018 SLTA’s were a record breaking year with 262 nominations submitted in total. DUSA explained that “shortlisting those nominated by our student body was no easy task for our panel. Each nomination was carefully considered and discussed. The quality of these nominations was incredible and the School Presidents had a very hard time shortlisting their top nominations for each of the categories. Congratulations to all shortlisted and the well-deserved winners.”

A number of Life Sciences staff were also nominated. They were Hari Hundal, Marios Stavridis, Sharon Matthews, Sheriar Hormuzdi, Art Crossman, David Booth and Steve Land.
