The Centre for High Resolution Imaging and Processing is located in the EM and LM suites in the Medical Sciences Institute.

These offer both electron and light microscopy facilities.

The OMX microscope has been brought to Scotland by the Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance (SULSA) and is located in the Light MIcroscopy Facility. The technology of OMX consists of two main imaging protocols, one for improved spatial resolution; Structured Illumination and the other to allow fast, multi-spectral, live-cell 3D imaging.
