Postdoctoral Research Assistant – The role of phosphates activating AMPK

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research assistantship to join Professor Tricia Cohen’s research group to study the role of protein phosphatases activating 5’AMP-activated protein kinase with relevance to diabetes. The position is for 2 years 2 months funded by Diabetes UK and is available from May 1st 2012.


Applicants must have expertise in diabetes related research and study of reversible protein phosphorylation. The successful applicant should have an excellent academic track record and have published at least one first authored paper in a major scientific journal.
