The Scottish Government has confirmed a new £10 million life sciences institute for Dundee. “We welcome this announcement from the Scottish Government that they are to provide £10 million to form the Scottish Institute for Cell Signalling at Dundee,” said Sir Philip Cohen who will be leading research at the Scottish Institute for Cell Signalling

Philip Cohen has been elected a Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in recognition of his significant contributions to science. Membership of the NAS is one of the highest honours given to a scientist or engineer in the United States. Sir Philip will be inducted into the Academy next April during its 146th annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
