The Irish Centre for Human Rights is co-hosting with the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, University of Dundee, a conference on Human Rights and Forensic Science which will take place at NUI Galway on April 24 & 25, 2009. This one and a half day conference will explore current and potential future application of forensic science disciplines in the field of human rights. Issues of both a practical and theoretical nature will be discussed and speakers will be drawn from the fields of law, medicine and science. The synergy between these different disciplines in the context of the advancement of human rights will be explored throughout each session.
